This image of Molas Lake, a turquoise gem located in the San Juan Mountains near Silverton, was made on a splendid fall morning. You can see how mineralized the area is; it's one reason the color palette of these mountains is like no other in Colorado.

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA, I'm a nature and landscape photographer primarily focused on the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Thanks for your comments Eric. I used to live in Englewood, Colorado as a child. This photo brought back memories. I would go fishing a lot in the lakes when I was a kid.
