"Aspen Ambience - Painting"
This is a digitally enhanced photograph. The original is my image "Aspen Ambience."
Topaz Labs' Simplify 4 was used to add painterly effects.
On a wordless soundless ending-of-fall-colors morning, in a spectacular area teeming with aspens like these, the sweet mountain light seemed much like the tree wood itself: beautifully soft and delicate.

The image was made using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III digital body, a Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 50mm f/2 ZE lens, at f/8.0 for 1/250 second at 100 ISO.
The raw image file was processed using Adobe Lightroom, Nik Color Efex Pro 4, and Topaz Studio.
