These aspen trees are justly famous for their blazing fall colors. But I love them in springtime as well. Fluttering in the cool breeze with all the freshness of new growth, their lime green leaves are simply splendid. For me, it's a yearly celebration of life and renewal that never gets old, as inviolate and timeless as Creation itself.
You can find these trees near Silver Jack Reservoir, right off Forest Service Road 858. Standing among them in the sweet mountain air, you'll think that the sum total of all that's beautiful in this world is right here with you. You'll know what it means to be human. And you'll know just how good it feels to be alive - here, in Colorado - on God's green earth.

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA, I'm a nature and landscape photographer primarily focused on the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Working in both color and black and white, I use a variety of photographic techniques to capture the many moods of mountain landscapes, from intimate perspectives to grand vistas, in locations both iconic and seldom-visited. My goal is to produce images with vivid colors, high dynamic range, and compelling compositions. Longer lens focal lengths are preferred to bring the viewer closer into the scene, requiring every available pixel to help tell the story. Thank you for visiting the site. I hope you enjoy my work.
