"Voyager 1's Beautiful Capture of Jupiter's Great Red Spot"

This view of Jupiter was taken by Voyager 1 during its flyby of the planet in 1979. This image was taken through color filters and recombined to produce the color image. This photo was assembled from three black and white negatives by the Image Processing Lab at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado USA, I'm a nature and landscape photographer primarily focused on the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Working in both color and black and white, I use a variety of photographic techniques to capture the many moods of mountain landscapes, from intimate perspectives to grand vistas, in locations both iconic and seldom-visited.
